GLENN FLETCHER - Director
With 27 years in the building industry, Glenn’s career began in 1997 as a general building operative. He later became a qualified bricklayer, earning the prestigious City & Guilds qualification in 2004.
As his responsibilities grew, Glenn developed a passion for the industry and dreamed of owning his own business. In 2007, Glenn and Mark Stebbings founded M G Builders (East Anglia) Ltd. Since then, their company has thrived, expanding their client base, constructing modern offices and workshops, and building a reliable team of skilled tradesmen.
Their success is built on a strong reputation for delivering quality results, and Glenn is extremely proud to have built a company that has won a national award.
In a career-defining moment, MG Builders was nominated by Mark Harvey and Emily Bowman from East Suffolk Council’s building control team for the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Best Residential & Small Commercial Builder award. Competing against over 70 outstanding entrants from across East Anglia, MG Builders emerged as the regional winner—a remarkable achievement that propelled them to the Grand Final in London.
Against 12 other regional winners, MG Builders was crowned the national winner. The recognition brought immense pride to the team, validated their hard work, and solidified MG Builders’ standing as a leader in the building industry. Glenn reflects on this achievement as a testament to the quality of their work and the support of their clients and local community.
Glenn’s dedication to excellence has been the cornerstone of his career. He remains committed to advancing the construction industry while continuing to deliver outstanding results for residential and commercial clients across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Mark Stebbings - Director
After leaving school Mark followed his passion for the boat building industry where he joined a Youth Training Scheme for a company based in Somerleyton, Suffolk.
After several years in the boat building industry Mark joined the construction industry as a site labourer for a local building company working on many projects throughout the Lowestoft area.
Having learnt the different trades within the industry Marks duties soon changed and he was recognised as a General building operative. In 1997 Mark was ‘headhunted’ and joined another local building company working alongside Glenn forming a fantastic working relationship spanning the next 10 years.
In 2007 Mark formed a partnership with Glenn creating MG Builders (East Anglia) Ltd. Mark has a keen interest in old VW (Volkswagen) vehicles and has built a VW campervan from the chassis/shell to completion
