GLENN FLETCHER - Director
With over 29 years in the building industry, Glenn began his career in 1997 as a general building operative before qualifying as a bricklayer, achieving his City & Guilds in 2004.
Driven by a passion for the trade and a vision to build something of his own, Glenn co-founded MG Builders (East Anglia) Ltd in 2008 alongside Mark Stebbings. Since then, the company has grown into a respected, award-winning business, supported by a skilled team and a purpose-built office, workshop, and client meeting space.
A defining milestone came when MG Builders was nominated by the East Suffolk Council Building Control team for the LABC Best Residential & Small Commercial Builder award. Competing against more than 70 companies across the region, MG Builders was named regional winner before going on to win the national title at the Grand Final in London.
This recognition reflects the consistent quality, attention to detail, and high standards delivered across every project.
Glenn remains committed to maintaining these standards, continuing to grow the business, and delivering high-quality construction projects for clients across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Glenn is proud to have introduced his family into the business and the wider construction industry. His eldest son, Bradley, is a fully qualified architect based in London, contributing to major projects including the Stansted Airport extension. His younger son, Theo, is already gaining hands-on experience, assisting on site and in the workshop during school holidays, while his wife Lynsey plays an important role supporting the business with office and administrative work.
Mark Stebbings - Director
After leaving school Mark followed his passion for the boat building industry where he joined a Youth Training Scheme for a company based in Somerleyton, Suffolk.
After several years in the boat building industry Mark joined the construction industry as a site labourer for a local building company working on many projects throughout the Lowestoft area.
Having learnt the different trades within the industry Marks duties soon changed and he was recognised as a General building operative. In 1997 Mark was ‘headhunted’ and joined another local building company working alongside Glenn forming a fantastic working relationship spanning the next 10 years.
In 2008 Mark formed a partnership with Glenn creating MG Builders (East Anglia) Ltd. Mark has a keen interest in old VW (Volkswagen) vehicles and has built a VW campervan from the chassis/shell to completion
