Helping Lauren Reach the World Scout Jamboree 2027

At MG Builders, we are proud to support young people within our local community, and recently we had the privilege of helping Lauren Potter on an incredible journey.

Lauren has been selected as one of just 36 representatives from Suffolk Scouts to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027 – a once-in-a-lifetime experience that brings together young people from across the globe. The event focuses on adventure, cultural exchange, leadership development, and building international friendships.

To make this opportunity possible, Lauren is working hard to raise £3,400 towards the cost of the trip. We were delighted to support her by donating £500 to help her on her way.

As a local business, we strongly believe in supporting ambition, dedication, and opportunity within our community. Seeing the commitment Lauren has already shown made this an easy decision for us.

We wish Lauren every success as she continues her journey and are proud to have played a small part in helping her achieve this fantastic opportunity.

Supporting Our Local Care Home at Christmas

At MG Builders, we believe that being part of a community means showing up for the people in it.

Each year, we’re proud to donate and decorate a Christmas tree for our local care home in Lound – something that has now become a small but meaningful tradition for us.

A big thank you goes to Mark, who gave up his Sunday to collect, deliver and set up the tree, making sure it looked just right for the residents and staff.

We understand that Christmas can be a difficult time for many elderly people, so if something as simple as a decorated tree can bring a bit of joy, warmth and comfort, then it’s more than worth it.

We’re proud to support our local community, proud to give back, and proud to make a difference where we can.

Charity Skydive – Pushing Ourselves for a Great Cause

Giving back has always been part of who we are and sometimes that means stepping well outside of our comfort zone. To raise money for a cancer charity, we took on one of our biggest personal challenges……. jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet. We won’t lie – it was absolutely terrifying. There’s brave…… and then there’s willingly stepping out of a perfectly good plane at that height!

But we did it.

Thanks to the incredible support from our clients, friends and local community, we raised nearly £3,000 for a cause that meant a great deal to us. Supporting our community is something we’re truly passionate about, whether that’s through local initiatives, charities, or challenges like this one. It’s an experience we’ll never forget – and one we’re incredibly proud of.

Supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance

We’re proud to support the incredible work of the East Anglian Air Ambulance through our ongoing monthly contributions.

As a local business, we understand just how vital this service is to our community. The East Anglian Air Ambulance provides life-saving care when it’s needed most, often in the most challenging circumstances, and relies heavily on donations to keep operating.

Our monthly support helps contribute towards keeping their aircraft in the air, ensuring their teams can continue to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies across the region. It also plays a part in funding vital upgrades, allowing them to constantly improve the level of care they provide.

Thanks to continued support like this, the service has been able to make significant advancements, including improving their night flying capabilities, meaning they can now operate more effectively around the clock. They’ve also introduced the ability for a family member to travel alongside a patient, offering comfort and reassurance during what is often an incredibly difficult time.

We’re incredibly proud to support such a vital service that makes a real difference to people’s lives every single day. It’s organisations like this that highlight the importance of community, and we’re committed to playing our part in supporting them.

Supporting Local Schools & Work Experience Opportunities

At MG Builders, we’re always keen to support local schools and give young people a real insight into the building industry through work experience placements.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Callum to the team, and over the course of his time with us, he impressed everyone with his hard work, positive attitude and willingness to learn. It’s always great to see young people taking an interest in the trade and getting hands-on experience on site.

Providing opportunities like this is something we’re passionate about. It not only helps young people understand what a career in construction involves, but also gives them the confidence to explore their future options.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation and wish Callum all the very best for the future.

Supporting Apprentices & Investing in the Future

We’re incredibly proud to support and develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople through apprenticeships.

Being recognised as Apprentice Employer of the Year was a fantastic achievement for our team and reflects the time, effort and dedication we’ve put into nurturing young talent within the business.

We believe that investing in apprentices is not only important for our company, but for the future of the construction industry as a whole. By providing hands-on experience, guidance and ongoing support, we help young individuals build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers.

A huge part of this success comes down to our experienced team, who play a key role in mentoring and passing on their expertise. Creating an environment where learning is encouraged and individuals feel valued is something we place great importance on.

We’re passionate about creating opportunities, supporting growth, and helping shape the future workforce – and we’re proud to continue building on this for years to come.

Supporting Young Sporting Talent in Our Community

We’re proud to support young sporting talent within our local community.

Grassroots sport plays a huge role in developing confidence, teamwork and discipline, and it’s great to be able to contribute towards giving young players the opportunity to enjoy and progress in the game.

We recently had the pleasure of supporting Corton Wolves U14s, helping provide them with new tracksuits for the season. It’s fantastic to see the team looking smart and representing their club with pride.

Supporting local teams like this is something we’re passionate about. It’s not just about sport, it’s about creating opportunities, encouraging young people, and helping build strong community spirit.

We wish the team the very best of luck for the season and look forward to seeing how they get on.

Supporting Professional Sport – Sponsorship of Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright

We are delighted to have supported professional darts player Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright through sponsorship.

It was a fantastic experience to see Peter competing at the highest level, showcasing MG Builders on his shirt live on Sky Sports in front of a global audience. Moments like this highlight the reach and impact that sport can have, bringing together communities and inspiring fans across the world.

Supporting individuals at the top of their game is something we’re incredibly proud of. It reflects our belief in backing talent, dedication and hard work – values that align closely with how we operate as a business.

From grassroots teams to professional sport, we’re committed to supporting people and opportunities at every level, and we’re proud to have played a small part in Peter’s journey.
